The CAR Horizontal Honing Machines type RTI have been manufactured to work tubes with Diameters from 23 mm, to 500 mm, and with length until 10 mt. These honing machines, have different characteristics relatively to their length, and are available in two Models:

RTI/MECC (mechanic):
is used to work no very high quantities of pieces; on this machine, the abrasive espansion is caused by the operator intervent: manually, using the Remote Feed.
Its honers have a big espansion, so that with 4 honers, you can operate from diameter 25 mm, to 500 mm.

RRTI/IDR (hydraulic):
is used for large production and big working allowance removals. Differently to the mechanic version, on this machine, the abrasive espansion is by a hydraulic piston; in this way the espansion with a certain pressure has constantly mantained on all cylinder length and during all the honing operation. The time work can be selected and changed according with the own exigences.
Its honers are called "nominal" and, to work diameters from 23 mm to 500 mm, 14 honers are necessary.

All RTI versions are equipped with PLC, in order to control all operative and set up functions.
